Adaptive Golf – League play and lessons at Island Lake Golf and Training Center

This program is designed to accommodate individuals with disabilities who are interested in learning to play golf as well as those who want to return to the game of golf after the onset of their disability.

What it is

Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute offers adaptive golf instruction, a golf league and an annual golf tournament. Golf can be adapted to every one’s skill level. Lessons, adaptive equipment and course play are available.

Who it is for

This program is for individuals with a physical disability. Family and friends of participants are encouraged to attend and play with the registered golfer. People who have amputations, arthritis, strokes, polio, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities are welcome to join.

 

Good to know

Trained staff and volunteers are available to assist the golfer.

Fee information

Registration fee of $35.00. When playing 9 holes, $16.00 greens fees are paid directly to the golf course each week. Golf carts are included in the greens fees.

What to bring

Bring your own water to help with hydration. Golf clubs are provided, if needed.
