What it is

Rock climbing is inherently a social activity that encourages like-minded people to come together and form a community sharing experiences, stories, success and challenges. Through rock climbing you can expect to:

  • improve health and fitness
  • become stronger
  • increase flexibility and balance
  • employ mental strategies of planning, anticipation and focus

Who it is for

For youth and adults with disabilities, ages 5 and up in the Duluth Northland area.

What to expect

Good technique is more important than physical strength when it comes to rock climbing, which makes this a great sport for many. You’ll climb at your own pace and at the level of difficulty that is right for you physically. With climbing you are your own competition - as you master techniques you can increase the difficulty of your climbing route.

Good to know

All equipment and gear will be provided.
