I am a board-certified physician assistant specializing in dermatology, with professional interests in acne education, skin cancer detection, and sunscreen and sun avoidance education.

Practice philosophy:  I enjoy helping patients feel reassured about their skin lesions and conditions. Our skin is the largest organ in our body and it is important for us to take care of it.

I am passionate about dermatology because I know that I can save lives by early detection of melanoma and other skin cancers.

If I wasn't a provider, I would be a second grade teacher. 

Why did you become a provider? In third grade, I wanted to be a doctor. After finishing undergrad, that dream changed to want to become a physician assistant and I haven't looked back since!

Something I have learned from my patients is that we all need to have faith and pray for healing and wellness.

The best thing I have done for my health is to eat more fruits and vegetables. At leas half our diet should be fruits and vegetables, because they provide so many more nutrients for our body than the packaged and processed foods that most of us eat.

I am most proud of being a mom to my two girls and being part of a collaborative dermatology team at Allina Health.

What are a few of your personal achievements? I organized a mission trip to Belize in 2018 and my family was part of the mission group. I have also been on a medical mission trip to Honduras and one to Houston, Texas.
