I am a certified nurse practitioner with professional interests in cancer care and preventive care.

Something I've learned from my patients is: that each patient has their own story, and it’s important to use those stories to develop individualized treatment plans that fit the needs and goals of each patient.

My heroes are: my grandparents because of their constant support and encouragement throughout my life.

My personal health challenge is: finding the right balance to maintain a healthy lifestyle, career and family. Setting goals has helped to overcome this challenge; my current goal is to exercise at least three days a week. Additionally, instead of having junk food at home, the only available options are a variety of healthy foods and snacks.

My personal health goal is: to run a marathon.

I’m most proud of: giving birth to my son, Caiden on Christmas Eve, 2013 and becoming a nurse practitioner.

I knew this was the right career for me: at a very young age. I had the desire to help people and knew I wanted to pursue nursing.

I’m passionate about: helping people. This is something I have been passionate about since I was very young. I find it easy to put others’ needs before my own.

If I wasn’t a provider, I’d be a: life-long learner so that I could explore all of my desires. The first thing I would do is get my health care MBA.

My favorite book is: the James Patterson Women’s Murder Club series. My favorite destination is Hawaii, and anywhere with a beach and great food.

The best thing I’ve done for my health is: to set goals and stick with them. I hired a personal trainer who has helped me a lot.

The best advice I’ve received is: to make sure to start small and set realistic goals. Once a goal is met, you can always set a new, more challenging one.
