My care team partner is Sean Hearn, MD. As a care team, one physician and one advance practice clinician share a patient's care and actively manage and deliver care together.

I became a provider because: I was gifted with being able to see a nurse practitioner who was a tremendous support to me when I was young. I loved that she practiced holistically, listened and heard my concerns and encouraged me through many of my life changes. It was through our interactions that I knew I wanted to be able to provide this same care to others. 

My personal health goal is:  to hopefully run my first half marathon this year! 

If I wasn’t a provider, I would be a:  meteorologist. I have always been fascinated by weather, especially severe weather.  

The best health advice I have received is: to take time to care for yourself and know its okay to do so! Many of us live hectic lives and are often so busy caring for others that we forget about ourselves. Learning to take time for “me,” whether that’s a half hour of exercise or 10 minutes of quiet time with a cup of coffee, has been a gift that helps me be a better person in the many roles life demands.

I am most proud of: my family! I feel extremely blessed to have such amazing friends and family.

Something I have learned from my patients is: that just as my practitioner heard me, I have learned that people want to be heard. I believe the gift of presence and understanding helps people feel supported and cared for.
