I am a board-certified family physician with more than 20 years' experience in integrative medicine. In particular, I’m professionally interested in bioidentical hormone therapies, chronic fatigue, and digestive complaints. I offer integrative medicine consultations to support these and other health conditions. 

I'm passionate about: getting patients involved in their care and health. When decisions are made about a treatment, whether it involves a diet or lifestyle change, a nutritional supplement, or a medication, I want patients to understand why it has been recommended and proceed with their full support. To me, a key part of practicing medicine is establishing a connection with each patient and trying to help in ways that make sense to them.

If I wasn't a provider, I would: specialize in the natural sciences. I love being outdoors, and especially love canoeing and backpacking. These bring me intellectual stimulation, exhilaration and fresh perspective.

I enjoy movies about: inspirational leaders or spaceships. I love historical accounts and learning about amazing figures like Ghandi, and I’m also a bit of a sci-fi and fantasy nerd. A few of my favorites: Stargate, Firefly, and Star Trek.

The challenge of my career I enjoy is: finding natural solutions to the unique issues patients face. I do my best to get a comprehensive idea of my patient’s life and recommend treatments accordingly.
