I am a board-certified physician assistant specializing in family medicine. I have professional interests in heart disease, hypertension and preventive medicine.
If I wasn't a physician assistant, I would be a: stay-at-home mom, because my baby daughter is the greatest joy of my life.
I knew I wanted to become a provider because: I've always wanted to care for people. After my grandmother died, I knew I needed to go back to school so I could care for others like she was cared for.
Something I've learned from my patients is: to always listen for the little things a patient says. It is in those details that I often find the root of the problem.
One of the challenges of my career that I enjoy is: helping others better themselves, which ultimately leads them to live a better quality of life. It's rewarding when a patient makes even the smallest step toward a better life.
My favorite health tip is: to enjoy anything in moderation.
I'm most proud of: my growing family, my husband, and our new baby girl we welcomed into the world in October 2015.
My favorite destination is: Playa del Carmen, Mexico. My husband and I swam with sea turtles and went deep sea fishing, where I caught a four-foot shark.
