Practice philosophy: Children and adolescents are growing and developing each day. They are resilient and full of potential. I enjoy working with young people and their families to overcome challenges regarding emotions, behaviors, relationships and academics. By partnering with families, schools and other health professionals, my goal is to improve the well-being of my patients today, and for the rest of their lives.
Best part of my work: Watching my young patients grow and develop into healthier, well adjusted adults. And assisting patients and their families in developing skills to better manage life stressors.
Why I became a physician: I am fascinated by the human experience and the idea that no two people are exactly alike. I became a physician because I enjoying learning from and working with people. I found that the specialty of psychiatry allows me the opportunity to really get to know my patients by listening to their life story, while providing compassion and care.
