I am passionate about: children and adolescents. I believe they deserve to be functioning at their best health. This is possible with good health maintenance and providing families with knowledge about their health and development so they can make healthy choices.
My favorite book: Harry Potter series.
One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy most is: understanding why a child is crying and making the correct treatment plan is among the most satisfying element in pediatrics.
I knew this career was for me: at a very young age when I started working with the Missionaries of Charity, an organization of Mother Teresa, where I worked at the orphanage in Kolkata. I realized that I wanted to be their voice and listen and understand them.
The best thing I've done for my health is: start limiting portion sizes, reading food labels before buying and going organic!
My patients have taught me: the importance of listening and having patience. Understanding their story is an integral part of health care.
