I am a board-certified pediatrician with professional interests in asthma, eczema and adolescent health.

I'm passionate about: being active. In college I was in sports and got my degree in physiology, so I try to practice what I preach by staying as active as much as I can.

I became I provider because: I love learning how the body works, and I enjoyed my physiology classes in college. I also knew I wanted to work with patients, so it became a natural career choice.  

Something I've learned from my patients is: flexibility. Families are in all different life situations and approach their child's health differently, so working together with families is essential. 

One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is: providing families with patient education, and giving them the knowledge of why we are making certain decisions for their child. 

My personal health goal is: to complete another half marathon or full marathon. 

I'm most proud of: my baby girl. I love spending all of my free time with her, and watching her change and grow. 

A few of my personal achievements include: traveling to all 50 states, and completing two half marathons. 

Practice philosophy: I talk to my patients' family about preventive medicine. Kids are generally healthy, but there are still things we can do to keep them healthy and safe.
