What is your practice philosophy? I seek to serve patients as their physician by promoting sustainable healthy habits as the foundation of all health; empathetically listening to each patient (or parent) and problem solving together; and offering evidence-based recommendations and guidance regarding health concerns.
I became a pediatrician and internist because I enjoy listening to patients' stories and love that I can care for families from infancy through adulthood. I relish the opportunity to constantly learn from challenges. I find the resilience of patients' minds, bodies and spirits to be inspiring.
Something I have learning from my patients is to strive for the compassion, generosity and grit that I see from so many of them.
My personal health goal is to prioritize sleep, daily exercise and cooking fresh meals with my husband.
What is the best thing you've done for your health? Laughing during both joyful and challenging times is important for me.
What are you most proud of? Maintaining strong relationships with my family and friends near and far.
