Margaret "Peggy" Mulderig, MD

I am a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor, with certification in electrodiagnostic medicine.

What is your practice philosophy? I strive to provide excellent, compassionate care to help my patients reach their highest level of health and function.

I am passionate about the respect and dignity of all people. We all have different gifts and abilities, and some of us come from different parts of the world. This should be celebrated as making our community richer and more diverse.

If I wasn't a provider, I would be a dog daycare owner and operator because I love my dogs. Dogs are fun!

Why did you become a provider? My mom was a librarian in a hospital. I volunteered there in college and got to know the patients. I loved my science classes. I knew there would be no greater job than studying medicine to help patients.

Something I have learned from my patients is although we are unique individuals, we are more then same than different. We all have concerns, worries, hopes and dreams.

One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is keeping up with the literature and new treatments that I can implement to help my patients.

My personal health goal: I would like to reduce the amount of sugar I consume, especially chocolate.

What is the best thing you have done for your health? Work out in the morning before work because I know I wouldn't get to it otherwise.

What are you most proud of? My three children!

What are a few of your personal achievements? I have been a single parent for 15 years. I am proud that my oldest son is in medical school and my twins are in college. I have not had time for hobbies!
