If I wasn't a nurse, I would be a: personal trainer because I believe staying active and fit is the key to preventing future illness and injury and because I enjoy motivating & encouraging others to pursue their own fitness goals.
I became a nurse practitioner to: help individuals achieve and maintain a state of personal health.
One challenge of this career that I enjoy is: patient education. I enjoy talking about medical conditions or interventions and breaking things down so people understand why I am asking them to make a change and how making that change can positively benefit their health and wellness.
The best thing I have done for my health: beyond staying active, is wearing sunscreen and limiting sun exposure.
I am most proud of: having been a critical care nurse for 12 years where I provided life sustaining care and helped patients and family’s transition to the next stage.
