Comprehensive medication review (CMR)

Taking prescription medicines can be a challenge. There are a lot of details to understand. One member of your health care team - a pharmacist practitioner - can help you manage your medicines and your health. A pharmacist practitioner is a doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) that is specially trained to provide patient care in the clinic setting.

Our goal is to improve quality of life by ensuring that medications are appropriate, effective, safe, and convenient.

Our Pharmacist Practitioners work with your providers, educate about medications and conditions, and adjust medications to maximize their effect. We take action to correct drug therapy problems and follow up to ensure a resolution. We combine clinical evidence and personal preference with the goal of empowering people to make informed decisions about their medications and about their health.

Several Allina Health clinic locations offer a special clinic visit that lets you talk privately with a pharmacist practitioner about your medicines.
